Privacy notice

This notice covers seller accounts, saved assessments, and inquiries on the GildData website. Future data licensing terms are agreed separately before any dataset access.

Seller account information

After the first assessment step, GildData creates a seller profile linked to your authenticated site identity. It includes your name, contact email, company website, data source, and any licensing permission status. Your contact email is used for correspondence; it does not provide access to another account.

Saved assessment details

We save your industry, approximate team size, year established, countries of operation, selected data types and tools, available formats, and estimated counts and storage sizes. Progress and the current step are saved to your account as you go. This supports continuing later on the same or another device by entering the same email address. No dataset, source code, credentials, or personal records should be entered in this form.

Local recovery and saving

While changes are waiting to save, a pending draft may be stored on this device so it can be recovered after a connection problem. That recovery copy is removed when the server confirms the latest changes are saved. The page shows whether changes are saved, pending, or need attention.

What is currently enabled

Account creation, saved progress, and assessment completion are enabled. Valuation calculation and email delivery are not enabled yet. Completing the assessment does not send an email or grant data access.

Other inquiries

Buyer inquiries include name, email address, company, selected data types, a brief, and an optional timeline. Earlier seller inquiries included contact details, company, optional website, selected data types, and inquiry type. Submitted inquiries are stored with submission time and a reference.

Purpose and infrastructure

These details support assessing data licensing opportunities, responding to inquiries, and discussing next steps. Information is saved in a Google Sheet that is shared only with GildData team members, and the site is hosted using infrastructure provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Google Fonts displays the site’s typography. The site does not include advertising pixels or a marketing analytics service; the hosting platform may use cookies for access and authentication.

Buyer outreach and licensing

A descriptive data snapshot is prepared separately and submitted to you for approval before buyer outreach. An assessment does not authorize a license or sharing your dataset with a lab.

Questions about your information

You can correct your assessment from your account. For questions about information already submitted or a deletion request, contact the GildData representative handling your inquiry. GildData will need to verify that the request relates to your information.
